Finding the right fit is important. You want to feel good about proceeding. I offer a free consultation for us to discuss your goals and get a sense of how I work.

I offer both in person counseling from my office in downtown Everett, WA or virtual counseling through a secure platform. Both in person and virtual counseling have their advantages. I find that meeting in person initially can feel more personal and meaningful as we get to know one another. This is not always possible, and virtual therapy can allow for more flexibility and convenience for many clients.

Sessions typically last roughly 50 minutes. There is no hard and fast rule regarding how often to meet, however weekly meetings are indicated when beginning therapy. This allows for us to progress toward your goal. We will collaboratively determine what the best calendar is for our work together.
-
My rate is $150/session for individuals and $175 for couples and families. I will be taking Premera, BCBS, and Lifewise insurance beginning August of 2026. Payment is arranged as a function of setting an appointment.

My approach is flexible and blended dependent on my client(s). In working with individuals I rely on narrative, psychoanalytic and experiential. With couples I rely on emotionally focused therapy and use to Gottman tools as well. When working with families intergenerational, narrative, and psychoanalytic theories are used. My orientation is toward a humanistic approach and I rely on humor and focusing on strengths to support growth.

I cannot prescribe medications, though it is important for me to work with any other providers with whom you work who may.

Beginning therapy is courageous. It can be uncomfortable when starting out, but this is a normal feeling. Many people feel nervous before their first appointment. This is a collaborative process and we will determine how to proceed together.
I don’t have the answers, but I can listen deeply and ask thoughtful questions. Your answers help guide the work and our progress together. You can expect me to be respectful, compassionate, and focused on you and your process.

I don’t work with clients experiencing serious mental illness requiring hospitalization.
